Flight plan
The flight plan: build, fly, debrief, repeat.
Traditional projects spend months perfecting a spec, then discover it was wrong. I flip that. We build early, learn from real use, and rebuild with what we now know. Speed is what makes rebuilding affordable.
- 01
Briefing
A focused session to understand the mission: the problem, the users, the constraints, and what "winning" looks like. You leave with a one-page flight plan.
- 02
First sortie
A working version, built in weeks. Not a mockup, not a slide deck: real software you can click, test and break.
- 03
Flight test
It goes into real hands. We watch what people actually do, not what we assumed they would.
- 04
Debrief
We keep what worked, cut what didn't, and sharpen the spec with evidence instead of opinion.
- 05
Rebuild
The next version, faster and tighter. Often this means starting fresh on a better foundation rather than patching the old one. Repeat until it's right, usually by the third pass.
- 06
Mission ready
Hardened, deployed, documented and handed over. Ongoing support available if you want a wingman after launch.
Steps 3 to 5 repeat, usually three times.
Why rebuild three times?
Because the first version answers questions the spec couldn't. Version two fixes the big mistakes. Version three is the one you'd have designed if you'd known everything at the start. With AI-assisted development, three fast passes often cost less than one slow "perfect" build.
- V1Answers the questions the spec couldn't
- V2Fixes the big mistakes
- V3The one you'd have designed knowing everything
Fit to what you actually need
What I need from you
- Quick decisions: days, not weeks
- Access to a few real users for each flight test
- Willingness to let go of version one
